Lesson Policy

Tuition Fees:

30 minute lessons are $140 per month ($35 per lesson).
45 minute lessons are $180 per month ($45 per lesson).
60 minute lessons are $220 per month ($55 per lesson).
Sibling Discount: $5 discount per month, per child.

Private Lessons are held weekly, for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on the level of student. Statements will be emailed the last lesson day of the month and will reflect any music purchased during the month.

Tuition is due on the first lesson day of each month. Tuition fees are paid on a monthly basis, not lesson by lesson, therefore if you miss a lesson, please don’t expect a refund.  Please understand the reason for this is that I have held your spot and refused new students on your behalf.  If you have to miss a lesson, given enough notice, make up times are definitely possible but not guaranteed.

Lessons are conducted throughout the year. Exceptions are school holidays (AISD) and summer vacations, in which case, I will pro-rate the lessons for that month.  You may choose to stop lessons during the summer, but your lesson time might not be guaranteed for fall. Please let me know in advance what your summer plans are.

Make-up lessons:  I make every effort to accommodate schedules by offering make up times when available. However, due to the number of students attending my studio, it is critical that you stick with your scheduled lesson time.

Parental Observation:  Parents are welcome to observe, but students generally feel less self-conscious when parents aren’t around.

Recitals: I plan two recitals a year, one formal, and one informal.  Date and time will be announced when available.  Participation is not mandatory.  There may be a $10 recital fee for participants.

Practice requirements: It is extremely important for each student to establish a daily practice routine. The length of time spent practicing should be based on the weekly assignment and goals established. Parents, please help your child by setting time aside each day for practicing. When parents take an interest in the student’s musical development, there is a marked improvement in the child’s attitude and performance.

Please feel free to call or email any questions, concerns or comments.

Thank you.
